How Should I Store My Cannabis?
Store it right and your product stays loud, fresh, and potent. Mess it up and it degrades fast. Here's the quick guide. 🌴
Flower
- Container: Glass jar with a tight lid. Skip the plastic bag — static strips trichomes.
- Temp: 60-70°F. No fridge, no freezer.
- Light: Keep it dark. UV breaks down THC. A drawer or cabinet works perfectly.
- Humidity: 58-62% RH is the sweet spot — a Boveda pack in the jar handles it automatically.
Edibles
Check the packaging. Most are fine at room temp in their original wrap. If it's hot out, gummies and chocolates can go in the fridge. Always check the expiration date and don't push it.
Concentrates
Sealed, cool, dark. Silicone containers work for wax and budder. Heat changes the consistency and degrades quality — don't leave dabs out in a warm room.
Vape Carts
Store upright at room temperature, out of direct sun. Hot car = bad. The oil degrades and carts can leak. Two seconds to store it right is worth it.
The Four Enemies
Heat, light, air, moisture — avoid all four and your product stays fresh for weeks. Simple.
